When the turbocharger encounters problems, it may also experience some abnormal phenomena. There are six main possibilities for the turbocharger to make abnormal noises: the turbocharger may be damaged (the shaft may be stuck, the impeller may be scratched), and metal friction may cause abnormal noises;

The air inlet and exhaust pipes leak, or the Intercooler has cracks, and the pressurized gas leaks; The membrane of the bypass valve is ruptured, and pressurized gas leaks; There is burr or bulge on the inner wall of the shell, and abnormal sound occurs when Jet stream flows through

Dirt accumulation in the diffuser section of the turbocharger;

The surface of the impeller is dirty and the airflow is not smooth;

If encountering abnormal noise from the turbocharger, it is recommended to use the following methods for inspection: Firstly, check if the turbocharger is damaged. 2、 If the turbocharger is not damaged, confirm whether there is oil leakage in the intake and exhaust pipes and the Intercooler. 1. Check the clamp of the intake pipeline and use soapy water to check for cracks.

2. Check for air leakage on the interface between the turbocharger and the engine exhaust manifold, as well as on the interface between the turbocharger and the exhaust manifold;

3. Check whether there are cracks in the Intercooler, causing air leakage;

4. Check if the turbocharger bypass valve diaphragm is broken, and if it is, it may be accompanied by insufficient power. 3、 If there is no air leakage in the pipeline connection, check the internal flow channel of the turbocharger: 1. Check if there are burrs or protrusions on the inner wall of the housing;

2. Whether the impeller is dirty;

3. Check if the expansion section is dirty. The maintenance of turbochargers is very important, and we should also pay special attention to some abnormal phenomena that occur in daily life, such as the abnormal noise phenomenon introduced.
